See the What's New area below for the latest on what's going on. Have added Vern's and my ministry web site link below.
I decided to add a personal site to my clutch of Web sites.
The others are my more professional sites. (They will be listed on my 'favorite links' page later.)
What's New?
11-26-2011 We've been back in the states almost 3 years, now. Been busy. Written 3 books since
then, painted an epic painting. Moved to the manse of the church, joined the worship team. Enough to keep me busy?
You bet!
3-11-2011 Moved back to Nevada from Israel. Been writing four books, one and a half published.
See my writing site. Been doing a new painting, also.
4-04 Our trip down California and across the western states was wonderful. Saw many friends
and relatives.
Moving to a ranch didn't work out.
Still taking pictures with my digital camara You can see some pictures at vaspaulding.tripod/album.com
We have moved to Israel and have taken many pictures of Jerusalem. You may see them on http://photos.yahoo.com/vaspaulding
My Story:
I have included my high school graduation picture for those of my classmates who have contacted me through 'Classmates.com.'
I was born in Palo Alto, CA on June 30, 1931 as Cheridah Ann Burleigh. I have lived all my life in the Bay
Area. Most of that time was in Oakland, with stints in Castro Valley, San Leandro and San Francisco. My husband,
Vern and I lived in Oakland for 23 years. We sold the house in east Oakland, bought a 36' RV and moved to our adopted
son's place in Minden, Nevada. We traveled across the U.S. twice. Since then we moved to the Silver City RV Resort
park in Carson Valley. Then the Lord had us sell the motor home and move to Jerusalem, Israel. We lived there
for 6 months and then moved to Jericho in the West Bank to do humanitarian aid for the Lord to the Arabs. We formed
many lasting friendships before we were called back to the States where we are attached to Day Spring church in Gardnerville.
My story: I was born in Palo Alto and when a year old moved to Oakland. From the age 6-12 I was back in Palo
Alto, a small block from the San Franciscito Creek. For one of my age, the creek was a wonderous and adventurous place,
even if I got poison oak many times. I went to Byron Elementary School, where my art for a safety poster won an award.
I then went on to David Star Jordon Junior High School for half a year. Before I could complete the term, we moved back
to Oakland where I finished the 7th grade at, I think, Cleveland School near Oakland High. Wow, after 58 years, who
can remember?
I went to Oakland High School, graduating in 1949. Then went to California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland
for two years. Then went to work in the business world, had my son, Vic, and later married my present husband,
Vern and moved to a house near our church in Oakland, Shiloh Christian Fellowship, where I graduated from their Bible College
with a BA and a MA in Biblical Studies and History.
